About

I am a registered and qualified counsellor and psychotherapist with 13 years experience as a helping professional. My therapeutic experience and training is broad.

I have a generalist counselling/psychotherapy background in private practice and a counselling/casework background in working for NSW Health and non-government organizations in the areas of chronic illness, drug and alcohol, sexual health, men’s issues, family support, grief and loss, homelessness and generalist counselling.

I divide my time between organizational work, where I am currently employed part-time as a counsellor for the Northern NSW Local Health Network, and private practice.

In my private practice I co-direct the Northern Rivers Counselling Practice, www.northernriverscounselling.com.au, with psychologist Alice Robertson, am the director of a therapy centre in Mullumbimby, The Stuart St Practice Rooms, www.stuartstpractice.com.au. I work with individuals, couples and groups in a therapeutic context. I also facilitate educational groups. An entry point to all my work is www.pcampiao.com.

  • Bachelor of Arts. (USyd).
  • Graduate Diploma of Counselling. (UWS).
  • Certificate of Somatic Psychotherapy. (426 hrs/2 years). (A.S.I.A.).
  • Master of Gestalt Therapy. (GTB).
  • Graduate Diploma of (Adult) Education. (UniSA).
  • Certificate IV Training & Assessment.

I am a Clinical Member of CAPA, Counselling and Psychotherapy Association of NSW (Member No. 38257).

I am an Associate Member of GANZ, Gestalt Australia and New Zealand (Member No. A733).

I am a Clinical Member of PACFA, Psychotherapists and Counsellors Association of Australia. (PACFA Register No. 21661).

Both CAPA and GANZ are Member Organizations of PACFA, the peak body for counsellors and psychotherapists in Australia.

I am bound to the ethical codes of these associations.
